This project consists of a cluster of century old masonry buildings that at project initiation were severely structurally deficient. Terrain devised a scheme for this 32,600 SF adaptive-reuse project which activates the city block by providing retail and restaurant space on the ground level and office space on the second floor, with access to an amenity roof deck.
The project’s six seismically separated buildings are integrated through a series of new bridges and balconies. Seamless glazing was positioned to form a solid perimeter and create a new urban interior and outdoor spaces surrounded by approachable and small scale retail.
