Terrain continued our collaboration with chef Enrique Olvera and designer Alonzo de Garay on ATLA Venice, a restaurant that brings casual Mexican cuisine made with sustainably sourced seasonal ingredients to iconic Abbot Kinney Blvd. Working in a one hundred year old building with significant infrastructure and accessibility deficiencies as well as structural constraints, Terrain translated de Garay’s design vision into a solution which minimized construction cost and time while enhancing the diner’s experience.

Supported by a new commercial kitchen and restrooms, the project worked around existing structures to create a new indoor-outdoor dining room and outdoor patio in an environment that feels far removed from busy Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
