Tasked with creating a new Dallas headquarters for global advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, Terrain used Agile Workplace Design techniques to house ambitious amount of program into the given space, to provide for a rapid but unpredictable increase in occupants and introduce a comfortable California vibe within a high-rise office building. Additionally, the architecture served as a catalyst in transforming the office culture to be more mobile, technology integrated, collaborative, and responsive to a younger workforce.
To achieve this, we limited the square footage provided to individual desks, while maximizing the number of available work area options. Round dim-sum inspired tables are the “home address” for each employee, but the entire office is a single staff members “desk” as they prefer to work in highly functional open lounges, private but temporary work spaces, and working social zones.
