On this project for a prestigious entertainment studio, we converted a former post office and warehouse into an informal and familiar workplace centered around a double-height atrium. Recognizing entertainment industry norms that require a significant number of perimeter offices, the design was focused around the open work area, privileging the experience and quality of light for support staff.
Working around significant structural and dimensional constraints, Terrain utilized its deep technical experience to use unconventional, but high-performing, HVAC solutions to allow spaces that would otherwise have been dedicated to infrastructure to be used for higher value office functions.
